### sec.124 Making of emergency rationing orders
The Minister may, by gazette notice, make an order rationing the use of electricity (an emergency rationing order ).
The Minister may make the order only if satisfied that—
because of an emergency, an electricity entity can not supply the electricity needed by its customers; and
the making of the order is necessary to enable continued supply of electricity by restricting electricity use to the level of available supply.
The order must outline the nature of the emergency.
(sec.124-ssec.1) The Minister may, by gazette notice, make an order rationing the use of electricity (an emergency rationing order ).
(sec.124-ssec.2) The Minister may make the order only if satisfied that— because of an emergency, an electricity entity can not supply the electricity needed by its customers; and the making of the order is necessary to enable continued supply of electricity by restricting electricity use to the level of available supply.
