### sec.116A Authority to create easements over forest land
Despite the Forestry Act 1959 , sections 26 (1A) and 28 (3) but subject to the Land Act 1994 , section 362 , the Governor in Council may, at the request of an electricity entity, authorise the creation of an easement for the entity over forest land for the entity’s works, including proposed works.
Section 116 (2) and (3) applies to the authority with all necessary changes.
In this section—
forest land means land that is a State forest or a timber reserve within the meaning of the Forestry Act 1959 , schedule 3 .
