### sec.89 Composition of licensing committee
The licensing committee consists of the following members—
the commissioner, who is the chairperson of the committee;
4 other members appointed by the Minister.
In choosing the appointed members of the committee, the Minister must—
consider each proposed member’s practical experience and competence in the management of electrical safety and in electrical training; and
ensure that—
1 of the appointed members is representative of employers; and
1 of the appointed members is representative of workers; and
1 of the appointed members is representative of the community; and
ensure that an appointed member who is other than an appointed member under paragraph (b) is a technical expert who is—
a licensed electrical worker; or
an electrical engineer; and
seek to appoint both men and women as members.

- (ii) 1 of the appointed members is representative of workers; and
- (iii) 1 of the appointed members is representative of the community; and
- (c) ensure that an appointed member who is other than an appointed member under paragraph (b) is a technical expert who is— (i) a licensed electrical worker; or (ii) an electrical engineer; and
- (i) a licensed electrical worker; or
- (ii) an electrical engineer; and
- (d) seek to appoint both men and women as members.
