### sec.71 Commissioner’s functions
The functions of the commissioner are—
to manage the activities of the board, having regard to its objectives, strategies and policies, and to ensure its efficient operation; and
to manage the activities of each committee, having regard to its objectives, strategies and policies, and to ensure each committee's efficient operation; and
to fulfil the roles of chairperson of the board and chairperson of the Electrical Licensing Committee; and
to advise the Minister on electrical safety matters generally; and
to advise the Minister on proposed codes of practice after appropriate board and committee consideration and endorsement; and
to perform any other functions given to the commissioner under this Act.

- (e) to advise the Minister on proposed codes of practice after appropriate board and committee consideration and endorsement; and
- (f) to perform any other functions given to the commissioner under this Act.
