### sec.64C Direction to licensed electrical worker to undergo competency assessment
This section applies in relation to a person who is the holder of an electrical work licence if—
the person performs electrical work; and
the licensing committee reasonably believes the person may not be competent to perform electrical work, or an aspect of electrical work, that the person is authorised to perform under the licence.
The licensing committee may, by written notice to the person, direct the person to undergo an assessment of the person’s competency to perform the electrical work or aspect.
The notice must—
state the following—
the period, of at least 1 month, within which the person must undergo the assessment;
the competencies that must be assessed;
that the assessment must be carried out by a registered training organisation;
the matters a registered training organisation must consider in carrying out the assessment; and
include an information notice for the decision.

(sec.64C-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to a person who is the holder of an electrical work licence if— the person performs electrical work; and the licensing committee reasonably believes the person may not be competent to perform electrical work, or an aspect of electrical work, that the person is authorised to perform under the licence.
(sec.64C-ssec.2) The licensing committee may, by written notice to the person, direct the person to undergo an assessment of the person’s competency to perform the electrical work or aspect.
(sec.64C-ssec.3) The notice must— state the following— the period, of at least 1 month, within which the person must undergo the assessment; the competencies that must be assessed; that the assessment must be carried out by a registered training organisation; the matters a registered training organisation must consider in carrying out the assessment; and include an information notice for the decision.
- (a) the person performs electrical work; and
- (b) the licensing committee reasonably believes the person may not be competent to perform electrical work, or an aspect of electrical work, that the person is authorised to perform under the licence.
- (a) state the following— (i) the period, of at least 1 month, within which the person must undergo the assessment; (ii) the competencies that must be assessed; (iii) that the assessment must be carried out by a registered training organisation; (iv) the matters a registered training organisation must consider in carrying out the assessment; and

- (iii) that the assessment must be carried out by a registered training organisation;

- (b) include an information notice for the decision.
