### sec.15 Meaning of electrical installation
An electrical installation is a group of items of electrical equipment that—
are permanently electrically connected together; and
can be supplied with electricity from—
the works of an electricity entity; or
a generating source; or
a battery or other storage technology; and
do not include items that are works of an electricity entity.
Also, an electrical installation is a group of items of electrical equipment that—
are permanently electrically connected together; and
are used to generate electricity at a voltage greater than extra low voltage; and
do not include items that are works of an electricity entity.
An item of electrical equipment may be part of more than 1 electrical installation.
In subsection (1) (a) —
an item of electrical equipment connected to electricity by a plug and socket outlet is not permanently electrically connected ; and
connection achieved through using works of an electricity entity is not a consideration in determining whether or not electrical equipment is electrically connected .

(sec.15-ssec.1) An electrical installation is a group of items of electrical equipment that— are permanently electrically connected together; and can be supplied with electricity from— the works of an electricity entity; or a generating source; or a battery or other storage technology; and do not include items that are works of an electricity entity.
(sec.15-ssec.2) Also, an electrical installation is a group of items of electrical equipment that— are permanently electrically connected together; and are used to generate electricity at a voltage greater than extra low voltage; and do not include items that are works of an electricity entity.

- (a) are permanently electrically connected together; and
- (b) can be supplied with electricity from— (i) the works of an electricity entity; or (ii) a generating source; or (iii) a battery or other storage technology; and
- (i) the works of an electricity entity; or
- (ii) a generating source; or
- (iii) a battery or other storage technology; and
- (c) do not include items that are works of an electricity entity.
