### sec.557 Ending of registration of credit providers
This section applies to a registered credit provider.
The following are cancelled on 1 January 2006—
the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, to carry on business in Queensland as a credit provider;
the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, as a self assessor for duty on instruments or transactions to which the person becomes a party for carrying on business as a credit provider.
However, subsection (2) does not affect—
the registration of the person under this Act for any other purpose; or
a requirement that applies to the person under this Act or the Administration Act in relation to a pre-repeal credit transaction.

(sec.557-ssec.1) This section applies to a registered credit provider.
(sec.557-ssec.2) The following are cancelled on 1 January 2006— the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, to carry on business in Queensland as a credit provider; the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, as a self assessor for duty on instruments or transactions to which the person becomes a party for carrying on business as a credit provider.
(sec.557-ssec.3) However, subsection (2) does not affect— the registration of the person under this Act for any other purpose; or a requirement that applies to the person under this Act or the Administration Act in relation to a pre-repeal credit transaction.
- (a) the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, to carry on business in Queensland as a credit provider;
- (b) the person’s registration under chapter 12, part 1, as a self assessor for duty on instruments or transactions to which the person becomes a party for carrying on business as a credit provider.
- (a) the registration of the person under this Act for any other purpose; or
- (b) a requirement that applies to the person under this Act or the Administration Act in relation to a pre-repeal credit transaction.
