### sec.543 Approved insurers
A person who, immediately before the commencement day, was an approved insurer under section 46F of the repealed Act is taken to be—
if the person’s approval relates to carrying on insurance business as a general insurer—a registered general insurer; or
if the person’s approval relates to carrying on insurance business as a life insurer—a registered life insurer.
Also, the person is taken to be a self assessor, registered under chapter 12, part 1.
(sec.543-ssec.1) A person who, immediately before the commencement day, was an approved insurer under section 46F of the repealed Act is taken to be— if the person’s approval relates to carrying on insurance business as a general insurer—a registered general insurer; or if the person’s approval relates to carrying on insurance business as a life insurer—a registered life insurer.
