### sec.530 Repealed Act applies to particular leases and agreements for leases
Subsection (2) applies if—
before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on an agreement for lease; and
a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement is entered into on or after the commencement day.
The repealed Act applies to the lease.
Because of this declaration, a provision of the repealed Act, including, for example, section 64C (Refund of duty) applies to it.
Subsection (4) applies if—
before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on—
a written offer for a lease; or
a written offer for a lease and an agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer; and
on or after the commencement day—
if paragraph (a)(i) applies—a lease or agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer is entered into; or
if paragraph (a)(ii) applies—a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement for lease is entered into.
The repealed Act applies to the lease or agreement for lease mentioned in subsection (3)(b).
Also, the repealed Act applies to a lease entered into in substantial conformity with an agreement for lease to which the repealed Act applies under subsection (4).

(sec.530-ssec.1) Subsection (2) applies if— before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on an agreement for lease; and a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement is entered into on or after the commencement day.
(sec.530-ssec.2) The repealed Act applies to the lease. Because of this declaration, a provision of the repealed Act, including, for example, section 64C (Refund of duty) applies to it.
(sec.530-ssec.3) Subsection (4) applies if— before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on— a written offer for a lease; or a written offer for a lease and an agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer; and on or after the commencement day— if paragraph (a)(i) applies—a lease or agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer is entered into; or if paragraph (a)(ii) applies—a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement for lease is entered into.
(sec.530-ssec.4) The repealed Act applies to the lease or agreement for lease mentioned in subsection (3)(b).
(sec.530-ssec.5) Also, the repealed Act applies to a lease entered into in substantial conformity with an agreement for lease to which the repealed Act applies under subsection (4).
- (a) before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on an agreement for lease; and
- (b) a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement is entered into on or after the commencement day.
- (a) before the commencement day, stamp duty under the repealed Act was chargeable or paid on— (i) a written offer for a lease; or (ii) a written offer for a lease and an agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer; and
- (i) a written offer for a lease; or
- (ii) a written offer for a lease and an agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer; and
- (b) on or after the commencement day— (i) if paragraph (a)(i) applies—a lease or agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer is entered into; or (ii) if paragraph (a)(ii) applies—a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement for lease is entered into.
- (i) if paragraph (a)(i) applies—a lease or agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer is entered into; or
- (ii) if paragraph (a)(ii) applies—a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement for lease is entered into.
- (i) a written offer for a lease; or
- (ii) a written offer for a lease and an agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer; and
- (i) if paragraph (a)(i) applies—a lease or agreement for lease that is in substantial conformity with the offer is entered into; or
- (ii) if paragraph (a)(ii) applies—a lease that is in substantial conformity with the agreement for lease is entered into.
