### sec.350 What is general insurance
General insurance is any kind of insurance that is applicable to either or both of the following—
property in Queensland;
a risk, contingency or event concerning an act or omission that in the normal course of events may happen wholly or partly in Queensland.
However, the term does not include the following—
life insurance;
accident insurance.
(sec.350-ssec.1) General insurance is any kind of insurance that is applicable to either or both of the following— property in Queensland; a risk, contingency or event concerning an act or omission that in the normal course of events may happen wholly or partly in Queensland.
(sec.350-ssec.2) However, the term does not include the following— life insurance; accident insurance.
- (a) property in Queensland;
- (b) a risk, contingency or event concerning an act or omission that in the normal course of events may happen wholly or partly in Queensland.
- (a) life insurance;
- (b) accident insurance.
