### sec.23 Employees of authorised persons
An employee of an authorised person is authorised to produce, possess, supply or transport a substance if—
under the Act , the authorised person is authorised to produce, possess, supply or transport the substance; and
the employee’s production, possession, supply or transportation of the substance is necessary for, or incidental to, performing the employee’s employment or engagement.
In this section—
authorised person means any of the following—
a licensee;
a carrier;
a DPI researcher;
an inspector;
a manufacturer;
an analyst.
employee includes agent.
substance means any of the following—
class A research cannabis plant;
class A research cannabis seed;
class B research cannabis plant;
class B research cannabis seed;
industrial cannabis plant;
industrial cannabis seed;
processed cannabis.

(sec.23-ssec.1) An employee of an authorised person is authorised to produce, possess, supply or transport a substance if— under the Act , the authorised person is authorised to produce, possess, supply or transport the substance; and the employee’s production, possession, supply or transportation of the substance is necessary for, or incidental to, performing the employee’s employment or engagement.
(sec.23-ssec.2) In this section— authorised person means any of the following— a licensee; a carrier; a DPI researcher; an inspector; a manufacturer; an analyst. employee includes agent. substance means any of the following— class A research cannabis plant; class A research cannabis seed; class B research cannabis plant; class B research cannabis seed; industrial cannabis plant; industrial cannabis seed; processed cannabis.
- (a) under the Act , the authorised person is authorised to produce, possess, supply or transport the substance; and
- (b) the employee’s production, possession, supply or transportation of the substance is necessary for, or incidental to, performing the employee’s employment or engagement.
- (a) a licensee;
- (b) a carrier;
- (c) a DPI researcher;
- (d) an inspector;
- (e) a manufacturer;
- (f) an analyst.
