### sec.72 Surrender of licence
A licensee may surrender the licensee’s licence by giving written notice to the chief executive and returning the licence.
Before the licensee surrenders the licence, the licensee must destroy or otherwise lawfully dispose of all cannabis plants and seed the licensee possesses.
Unless otherwise authorised, continued possession of the plants and seed after the surrender takes effect will be unlawful.
A licence surrendered under this section stops having effect at the end of the day it is surrendered.

(sec.72-ssec.1) A licensee may surrender the licensee’s licence by giving written notice to the chief executive and returning the licence.
