### sec.139 Transitional provision for offences committed before the enactment of Drugs Misuse Amendment Act 2008 This section applies to the sentencing of a person convicted of an offence committed against section 5, 6(1), 7, 8, 8A(1), 9, 10(1) or 11(1) before the commencement of this section even if the conviction happens after the commencement. The Act as in force immediately before the commencement continues to apply to the sentencing. s 139 ins 2008 No. 4 s 32 (sec.139-ssec.1) This section applies to the sentencing of a person convicted of an offence committed against section 5, 6(1), 7, 8, 8A(1), 9, 10(1) or 11(1) before the commencement of this section even if the conviction happens after the commencement.
