### sec.4 Definitions
In this Act—
Australian lawyer see the Legal Profession Act 2007 , schedule 2 .

criminal proceedings means—
proceedings on indictment for an offence defined in the Criminal Code ; and
other proceedings on indictment; and
proceedings in the Supreme Court commenced by a person charged with an indictable offence in connection with the offence before the presentation of an indictment that charges the commission of the offence.
director means the Director of Public Prosecutions appointed under this Act.

lawyer means an Australian lawyer who, under the Legal Profession Act 2007 , may engage in legal practice in this State.
