### sec.175 If Attorney-General asked to return property This section applies if a person is given a notice under section 174 relating to property that is still vested in the State. The person may, in writing, ask the Attorney-General to return the property to the person. As soon as practicable after receiving the notice, the Attorney-General must arrange for the property to be transferred to the applicant or someone else nominated by the applicant. However, if the State has paid an amount to the person in relation to the property under an innocent interest exclusion order or a third party order, the Attorney-General must not arrange for the transfer of the property until the person pays to the State the total amount paid by the State in relation to the property under the relevant order. The Attorney-General may do or authorise the doing of anything necessary or convenient to be done for the transfer.
