### sec.153 Effect of forfeiture
On the making of a forfeiture order, the property the subject of the order—
is forfeited to the State; and
vests absolutely in the State.
Under section 213 , the State may not dispose of forfeited property during the appeal period as defined in that section.
Subsection (1) (b) is subject to the provisions of this Act under which the Supreme Court may make orders about the property vested or to be vested in the State.
The court that makes the forfeiture order may give any necessary or convenient directions for giving effect to the forfeiture.
If the person forfeiting the property is in possession of the forfeited property, the court may give directions about who is to have possession of the property.
