### sec.22R Protection from liability
A public official is not civilly liable for an act done, or omission made, for the operation of part 4 , if the act was done, or omission was made, honestly and without negligence.
If subsection (1) prevents a civil liability attaching to a public official, the liability attaches instead to the State.
In this section—
public official means—
the Minister; or
the chief executive (corrective services); or
a person acting under the authority of part 4 or a person mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) .
