### sch.1-sec.435 Taking reward for recovery of property obtained by way of indictable offences
If—
a thing is obtained by way of any act constituting an indictable offence; and
a person dishonestly receives, or dishonestly agrees to receive, any benefit on an agreement or understanding that the person will help anyone to recover the thing;
then, unless the person has used all due diligence to cause the offender to be brought to trial for the offence, the person commits a crime.
Maximum penalty—7 years imprisonment.
