6420 Ordinary service—address for service
If a document is not required by these rules to be served personally
on a person, the document may be served on the person—
(a) by serving it personally on the person; or
(b) by leaving a sealed or stamped copy at the person’s address for
service; or
(c) by sending a sealed or stamped copy by prepaid post, addressed
to the person, at the person’s address for service; or
(d) if the person’s address for service includes a postbox at a post
office in the ACT—by sending a sealed or stamped copy by
prepaid post, addressed to the person, at the person’s postbox;
or
(e) if the person’s address for service includes a document exchange
box number—by leaving a sealed or stamped copy, addressed to
the person, in the exchange box or at a collection point of the
document exchange for delivery to the exchange box; or
(f) if the person’s address for service includes a fax number—by
faxing a sealed or stamped copy to the fax number; or
(g) if the person’s address for service includes an email address—
by emailing a copy to the email address; or
(h) if the document to be served is from the registrar’s office, the
person has a solicitor, and the solicitor has a collection box in
the office—by leaving a copy of the document in the solicitor’s
collection box.
