### sec.81 Leave for prisoner serving a life sentence, or serious violent offender
This section applies to the grant of any of the following leave to a prisoner who is serving a life sentence or is a serious violent offender—
community service leave;
educational leave.
If a court ordered that the prisoner serve a stated period before being granted leave, the chief executive must not grant leave to the prisoner unless the prisoner has served at least the stated period.
Otherwise, the chief executive must not grant leave to the prisoner unless the prisoner has reached the prisoner’s parole eligibility date.
In deciding whether to grant leave to the prisoner, the chief executive must consider all recommendations of the sentencing court about the prisoner.
(sec.81-ssec.1) This section applies to the grant of any of the following leave to a prisoner who is serving a life sentence or is a serious violent offender— community service leave; educational leave.
