### sec.60 Maximum security order The chief executive may make an order (the maximum security order ) that a prisoner be accommodated in a maximum security unit. However, the chief executive may direct that the prisoner be accommodated for the whole or a part of the period for which the maximum security order is in effect in an area in the corrective services facility other than a maximum security unit. The maximum security order may be made only if the chief executive reasonably believes that 1 or more of the following apply— there is a high risk of the prisoner escaping or attempting to escape; there is a high risk of the prisoner killing or seriously injuring other prisoners or other persons with whom the prisoner may come into contact; generally, the prisoner is a substantial threat to the security or good order of the corrective services facility.
