### sec.471 Authorities and actions
This section applies to an authority made, or an action taken, under a previous provision, if the authority was in force or the action continued to have effect immediately before the commencement.
If there is a corresponding provision of this Act for the previous provision, the authority or action—
continues in force, or continues to have effect, according to its terms; and
is taken to have been made or taken under the corresponding provision of this Act.
This section is subject to a specific provision of this chapter in relation to the authority or action.
In this section—
authority means an approval, authorisation, certificate, classification, decision, declaration, determination, direction, guideline, instrument, order, parole order, permit, policy, procedure, recommendation, transfer instrument or other authority.
corresponding provision of this Act , for an authority or action, includes a provision of this Act that provides for the authority to be made, or action to be taken, by the chief executive even if the person who made the authority or took the action under the previous provision was not the chief executive.
made includes given and issued.
order includes an order given orally or in writing, but does not include a parole order.
previous provision , for an authority made or action taken, means a provision of one of the repealed Acts under which the authority may be made or action taken.
(sec.471-ssec.1) This section applies to an authority made, or an action taken, under a previous provision, if the authority was in force or the action continued to have effect immediately before the commencement.
(sec.471-ssec.2) If there is a corresponding provision of this Act for the previous provision, the authority or action— continues in force, or continues to have effect, according to its terms; and is taken to have been made or taken under the corresponding provision of this Act.
(sec.471-ssec.3) This section is subject to a specific provision of this chapter in relation to the authority or action.
