### sec.297 Appointment conditions and limit on powers
An inspector holds office on any conditions stated in—
the inspector’s instrument of appointment; or
a signed notice given to the inspector; or
a regulation.
An inspector who is not a public service officer is entitled to the remuneration, allowances and expenses approved by the chief executive.
The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the inspector or a regulation may limit the inspector’s powers under this Act.
In this section—
signed notice means a notice signed by the chief executive.
(sec.297-ssec.1) An inspector holds office on any conditions stated in— the inspector’s instrument of appointment; or a signed notice given to the inspector; or a regulation.
(sec.297-ssec.2) An inspector who is not a public service officer is entitled to the remuneration, allowances and expenses approved by the chief executive.
(sec.297-ssec.3) The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the inspector or a regulation may limit the inspector’s powers under this Act.
(sec.297-ssec.4) In this section— signed notice means a notice signed by the chief executive.
