### sec.247A When a person promotes terrorism For this chapter, a person promotes terrorism if the person— carries out an activity to support the carrying out of a terrorist act; or makes a statement in support of the carrying out of a terrorist act; or carries out an activity, or makes a statement, to advocate the carrying out of a terrorist act or support for the carrying out of a terrorist act. To remove any doubt, it is declared that a reference in subsection (1) to a terrorist act— includes a terrorist act that has not happened; and is not limited to a specific terrorist act. s 247A ins 2019 No. 10 s 18 (sec.247A-ssec.1) For this chapter, a person promotes terrorism if the person— carries out an activity to support the carrying out of a terrorist act; or makes a statement in support of the carrying out of a terrorist act; or carries out an activity, or makes a statement, to advocate the carrying out of a terrorist act or support for the carrying out of a terrorist act.
