### sec.16 Reconsidering decision to change prisoner’s security classification
This section applies if—
the chief executive increases a prisoner’s security classification; and
the prisoner is dissatisfied with the decision.
Within 7 days after the information notice about the decision is given to the prisoner, the prisoner may, by written notice given to the chief executive, ask the chief executive to reconsider the decision.
The chief executive must reconsider the decision and may confirm, amend or cancel the decision.
After reconsidering the decision, the chief executive must give the prisoner an information notice about the reconsidered decision.
(sec.16-ssec.1) This section applies if— the chief executive increases a prisoner’s security classification; and the prisoner is dissatisfied with the decision.
(sec.16-ssec.2) Within 7 days after the information notice about the decision is given to the prisoner, the prisoner may, by written notice given to the chief executive, ask the chief executive to reconsider the decision.
(sec.16-ssec.3) The chief executive must reconsider the decision and may confirm, amend or cancel the decision.
(sec.16-ssec.4) After reconsidering the decision, the chief executive must give the prisoner an information notice about the reconsidered decision.
- (a) the chief executive increases a prisoner’s security classification; and
- (b) the prisoner is dissatisfied with the decision.
