### sec.150 Prison amenities
When establishing a new prison, the chief executive must ensure appropriate provision is made in the prison for each of the following—
a meeting place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners that—
promotes communication; and
endorses the prisoners’ indigenous cultural heritage;
for a prison accommodating female prisoners—accommodation units that allow the prisoners to care for young children;
areas suitable for children visiting their parents;
facilities for prisoners who are experiencing psychological crises;
the accommodation and access requirements of older prisoners and prisoners with disabilities;
videoconferencing technology—
to help prisoners maintain relationships with family members who would otherwise be required to travel long distances to the prison; and
for the appearance of prisoners before courts, tribunals or the parole board.
