### 69 Receipt in deed or endorsed, authority for payment to Australian legal practitioner
> > (1) [*\[Section 69 Subsection (1) amended by No. 66 of 2007, Sched. 1, Applied:31 Dec 2008\]*](/view/html/inforce/2008-12-31/act-2007-066#JS1@Ja14@GC3@Hpb@EN) [*\[Section 69 Subsection (1) amended by No. 66 of 2007, Sched. 1, Applied:31 Dec 2008\]*](/view/html/inforce/2008-12-31/act-2007-066#JS1@Ja14@GC3@Hpa@EN) Where an Australian legal practitioner produces a deed, having in the body thereof or endorsed thereon a receipt for consideration money or other consideration, the deed being executed, or the endorsed receipt being signed, by the person entitled to give a receipt for that consideration, the deed shall be sufficient authority to the person liable to pay or give the same for his paying or giving the same to the Australian legal practitioner, without the Australian legal practitioner producing any separate or other direction or authority in that behalf from the person who executed or signed the deed or receipt.
