24 Self-incrimination
A person is not excused from:
(a) answering a question asked by an authorised officer pursuant
to section 21(4)(a); or
Consumer Affairs and Fair Trading Act 1990 23
(b) producing a document or giving an explanation of a document
pursuant to a requirement of an authorised officer under
section 21(4)(b) or (c); or
(c) furnishing information, producing a document or giving
evidence in response to a notice under section 22(2);
on the ground that the answer, document, explanation, information
or evidence may tend to incriminate the person or make the person
liable to a penalty, but an answer, document, explanation,
information or evidence given, produced or furnished as mentioned
in any of paragraphs (a) to (c) is inadmissible against the person in
criminal proceedings other than proceedings for an offence against
this Act.
