### sec.16 States not liable to pecuniary penalty or prosecution
Nothing in the application law of this jurisdiction makes a State liable to a pecuniary penalty or to be prosecuted for an offence.
Without limiting subsection (1) , nothing in the application law of a participating jurisdiction makes the State of Queensland liable to a pecuniary penalty or to be prosecuted for an offence.
The protection in subsection (1) or (2) does not apply to an authority of a State.

(sec.16-ssec.1) Nothing in the application law of this jurisdiction makes a State liable to a pecuniary penalty or to be prosecuted for an offence.
(sec.16-ssec.2) Without limiting subsection (1) , nothing in the application law of a participating jurisdiction makes the State of Queensland liable to a pecuniary penalty or to be prosecuted for an offence.
(sec.16-ssec.3) The protection in subsection (1) or (2) does not apply to an authority of a State.
