### sec.61 Chief executive may take required action
If a person fails to comply with a coastal protection or tidal works notice requiring particular action to be taken (the required action ), the chief executive may take the required action.
For subsection (1) , the chief executive, or a person authorised by the chief executive, may, without any further authority apart from this subsection—
enter and re-enter land at all reasonable times; and
remain on the land for the time that is necessary and reasonable; and
take onto, and keep on, the land the vehicles, materials, equipment and other things that are necessary and reasonable.
The chief executive may recover, as a debt, from the person to whom the notice is directed, the costs and expenses reasonably incurred in taking the required action.
(sec.61-ssec.1) If a person fails to comply with a coastal protection or tidal works notice requiring particular action to be taken (the required action ), the chief executive may take the required action.

- (a) enter and re-enter land at all reasonable times; and
- (b) remain on the land for the time that is necessary and reasonable; and
- (c) take onto, and keep on, the land the vehicles, materials, equipment and other things that are necessary and reasonable.
