### sec.180 When certain applications lapse
This section applies to an application for any of the following made before the commencement of the section—
a sanction to carry out works given under the Harbours Act , section 86 ;
an authorisation to reclaim land given under the Harbours Act , section 91 ;
a provisional approval to construct a canal under the Canals Act , section 5 .
If the chief executive has, by written notice given before the commencement of this section, asked the applicant to give the chief executive a stated document or information relevant to the application, the applicant must give the stated document or information to the chief executive within 1 year after the commencement.
If the applicant does not give the chief executive the stated document or information within the period mentioned in subsection (2), the application lapses.

(sec.180-ssec.1) This section applies to an application for any of the following made before the commencement of the section— a sanction to carry out works given under the Harbours Act , section 86 ; an authorisation to reclaim land given under the Harbours Act , section 91 ; a provisional approval to construct a canal under the Canals Act , section 5 .
(sec.180-ssec.2) If the chief executive has, by written notice given before the commencement of this section, asked the applicant to give the chief executive a stated document or information relevant to the application, the applicant must give the stated document or information to the chief executive within 1 year after the commencement.
(sec.180-ssec.3) If the applicant does not give the chief executive the stated document or information within the period mentioned in subsection (2), the application lapses.
