### sec.135 Authorised person to give notice of damage
This section applies if an authorised person, or a person assisting an authorised person, damages anything in the exercise of a power under this division.
The authorised person must promptly give written notice of the particulars of the damage to the person who appears to be the owner of the thing.
However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (2) , the authorised person must leave the notice, in a reasonably secure way and in a conspicuous position, at the place where the damage happened.
If the authorised person believes the damage was caused by a latent defect in the thing or other circumstances beyond the authorised person’s control, the authorised person may state this in the notice.
This section does not apply to damage the authorised person reasonably believes is trivial.
