### sec.66 Braking systems
A coal mine’s safety and health management system must provide for the continued effectiveness of braking systems on fixed and mobile plant used at the mine.

braking systems on winders
The system must provide for the following—
the dynamic testing of service brakes;
appropriate testing of parking brakes, emergency brakes and other braking systems the failure of which may create a risk to a person;
keeping a record of the brake test results in a location that is easily accessible by each coal mine worker at the mine.
