### sec.295 Preventing inrushes through boreholes
The site senior executive for an underground mine must ensure each borehole to, through or from a coal seam at the mine is sealed off in a way that prevents an inrush happening through the borehole if—
the borehole is drilled after 16 March 2001; and
the inrush could happen if—
the surface around the borehole collar flooded; or
the borehole intersected an inrush source.
The site senior executive must also ensure precautions to prevent an inrush through a borehole at the mine are taken in mine workings approaching the borehole if—
it is suspected that the borehole exists and is one through which an inrush may happen; and
the borehole can not be accurately located by survey or any other way.
