### sec.273 Operating requirements for winders, slope haulages and hoists
The site senior executive for an underground mine must ensure—
the supplier of a winder, slope haulage or hoist for use at the mine is given sufficient details of the operating requirements of the plant to allow the supplier and installer to select and install appropriate plant; and
the plant is tested before being put into operation to verify the plant meets the operating requirements; and
a record is kept of—
the details given to the supplier and installer; and
the test results.
If the plant is intended to be used in excess of the operating requirements, the site senior executive must ensure a design check is carried out and any necessary modification is completed before the plant is used in excess of the operating requirements.
(sec.273-ssec.1) The site senior executive for an underground mine must ensure— the supplier of a winder, slope haulage or hoist for use at the mine is given sufficient details of the operating requirements of the plant to allow the supplier and installer to select and install appropriate plant; and the plant is tested before being put into operation to verify the plant meets the operating requirements; and a record is kept of— the details given to the supplier and installer; and the test results.
