### sec.118 Restricting access to hazardous areas
A surface mine’s safety and health management system must provide for the following—
installing safety berms or implementing other appropriate control measures for preventing persons and mobile plant from falling over edges with a vertical drop of 1m or more;
controlling the entry of persons to areas containing open drill holes.
