### sec.16 Meaning of serious accident A serious accident at a coal mine is an accident at a coal mine that causes— the death of a person; or a person to be admitted to a hospital as an in-patient for treatment for the injury. - (a) the death of a person; or - (b) a person to be admitted to a hospital as an in-patient for treatment for the injury.
