### sec.157 Power to require attendance of persons before an officer to answer questions
An officer may require a person to attend before the officer and to answer questions—
relevant to the discharge of the person’s safety and health obligations under this Act; or
on safety and health matters relevant to coal mining operations; or
to ascertain whether this Act is being complied with; or
relevant to any action carried out by the officer under this Act.
A requirement made of a person under this section to attend before an officer must—
be made by notice given to the person; and
state a reasonable time and place for the person’s attendance.
When making a requirement under this section, the officer must warn the person it is an offence to fail to comply with the requirement, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.

(sec.157-ssec.1) An officer may require a person to attend before the officer and to answer questions— relevant to the discharge of the person’s safety and health obligations under this Act; or on safety and health matters relevant to coal mining operations; or to ascertain whether this Act is being complied with; or relevant to any action carried out by the officer under this Act.
(sec.157-ssec.2) A requirement made of a person under this section to attend before an officer must— be made by notice given to the person; and state a reasonable time and place for the person’s attendance.
