### sec.101 Stopping of operations by site safety and health representatives
This section applies if a site safety and health representative reasonably believes a danger to the safety or health of coal mine workers exists because of coal mining operations.
The site safety and health representative may, by written report to the site senior executive for the coal mine stating the reasons for the representative’s belief, order the suspension of coal mining operations.
The site safety and health representative must give a copy of the written report given to the site senior executive under subsection (2) to—
an inspector; and
an industry safety and health representative.
If the site safety and health representative reasonably believes there is immediate danger to the safety and health of coal mine workers from coal mining operations, the representative may—
stop the operations and immediately advise the supervisor in charge of the operations; or
require the supervisor in charge of the operations to stop the operations.
The site safety and health representative must give a written report about any action taken under subsection (4) and the reasons for the action to each of the following persons—
the site senior executive for the coal mine;
an inspector;
an industry safety and health representative.

(sec.101-ssec.1) This section applies if a site safety and health representative reasonably believes a danger to the safety or health of coal mine workers exists because of coal mining operations.
(sec.101-ssec.2) The site safety and health representative may, by written report to the site senior executive for the coal mine stating the reasons for the representative’s belief, order the suspension of coal mining operations.
