### sec.23 Show cause notice
The registrar must give the person a notice under this section (a show cause notice ).
The show cause notice must state the following—
that the registrar proposes to cancel the person’s registration as a civil partnership notary (the proposed action );
the ground for the proposed action;
an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the ground;
an invitation to the person to show within a stated period (the show cause period ) why the proposed action should not be taken.
The show cause period must end at least 30 days after the show cause notice is given to the person.

- (b) the ground for the proposed action;
- (c) an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the ground;
- (d) an invitation to the person to show within a stated period (the show cause period ) why the proposed action should not be taken.
