### sec.64 Court required to inform parties of proposed award The purpose of this section is to enable the court to give the parties to a proceeding a reasonable opportunity to negotiate a structured settlement. A court that decides to make an award for future loss (not including interest) of more than the amount fixed by the Minister, by written notice under section 75 , for this section must first notify all the parties to the proceeding of the terms of the award it proposes to make. s 64 amd 2010 No. 9 s 13 ; 2023 No. 23 s 34 (sec.64-ssec.1) The purpose of this section is to enable the court to give the parties to a proceeding a reasonable opportunity to negotiate a structured settlement.
