### sec.58 Supervising authority to notify police commissioner of particular events
As soon as practicable before or after a decision mentioned in any of the following provisions of the Mental Health Act 2016 is made in relation to a forensic reportable offender, the supervising authority is authorised and directed to give written notice of that fact to the police commissioner—
chapter 5 , part 4 , division 2 , subdivision 2 ;
section 221 ;
chapter 12 , part 3 , division 4 ;
section 525 .
As soon as practicable before or after any other reportable offender—
is on unescorted leave of absence; or
is authorised to leave Queensland under the Corrective Services Act 2006 or the Youth Justice Act 1992 ; or
stops being in government detention, including because of the making of a supervision order; or
stops being subject to a supervision order;
the supervising authority is authorised and directed to give written notice of that fact to the police commissioner.
A notice under this section must include any details required by a regulation.
Subsection (2) applies regardless of why a reportable offender who was in government detention or subject to the supervision order was in government detention or subject to the supervision order.

(sec.58-ssec.2) As soon as practicable before or after any other reportable offender— is on unescorted leave of absence; or is authorised to leave Queensland under the Corrective Services Act 2006 or the Youth Justice Act 1992 ; or stops being in government detention, including because of the making of a supervision order; or stops being subject to a supervision order; the supervising authority is authorised and directed to give written notice of that fact to the police commissioner.
(sec.58-ssec.3) A notice under this section must include any details required by a regulation.
(sec.58-ssec.4) Subsection (2) applies regardless of why a reportable offender who was in government detention or subject to the supervision order was in government detention or subject to the supervision order.
- (a) chapter 5 , part 4 , division 2 , subdivision 2 ;
- (b) section 221 ;
- (c) chapter 12 , part 3 , division 4 ;
- (d) section 525 .
