21 Approvals and consent required in relation to proposed
building work—Act, s 152 (3) (c)
(2) The certifier must be satisfied on reasonable grounds that the
following approvals or consents have been obtained in relation to the
proposed building work:
(a) any consent or approval required under a territory law in relation
to the work;
(b) if the work is, or forms part of, a development requiring
development approval—development approval;
(c) if the land is in a designated area—approval under the
Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management)
Act 1988 (Cwlth), section 12;
(d) if the work involves the erection or alteration of a lift—a permit
under the Scaffolding and Lifts Regulation 1950, section 17.
(3) If a development approval mentioned in subsection (2) (b) contains a
condition that must be complied with before the proposed building
work may start, the certifier must be satisfied on reasonable grounds
that the condition has been complied with.
