### sec.171 Power to amend, cancel or suspend licence
QBCC may, on the ground that a building certifier is not a suitable person to hold a licence, do either of the following in relation to the certifier’s licence—
amend it to impose or remove a condition;
cancel or suspend it.
QBCC is required to cancel a building certifier’s licence if the building certifier becomes a disqualified individual—see section 214K .
The power under subsection (1) may be exercised at any time after QBCC has complied with subdivision 2 .
To remove any doubt, it is declared that QBCC can not, under subsection (1) , amend, cancel or suspend the certifier’s licence if QBCC considers the building certifier is not a suitable person to hold a licence because of unsatisfactory conduct or professional misconduct.
