### sec.49 Requirements for notice of general meeting
If a general meeting is called under section 48 , the notice of the meeting must be accompanied by an explanatory note prepared by the committee.
The explanatory note must state that—
an owner of a lot may nominate a person for election to a vacant executive member or ordinary member position if the owner does not owe a body corporate debt at the time of the meeting; and
a nomination may be made—
orally from the floor of the meeting; or
by giving, in a way mentioned in section 221 (2) , a written nomination to a member of the committee named in the explanatory note so the member receives the nomination before the election is conducted at the meeting; and
an owner of a lot must be present personally at the general meeting to vote in the election.
