### sec.42 Appointment of committee member at extraordinary general meeting
At an extraordinary general meeting called under this subdivision, the body corporate may appoint, without conducting an election, a person who is eligible to be a member of the committee to fill a vacancy on the committee.
If 1 co-owner of a lot is an elected member of the committee, not more than 1 other co-owner of the lot may be appointed under this section as an ordinary member if necessary to bring the total number of voting members of the committee to 3.
A person must not be appointed under this section as a member of the committee if, following the appointment, the committee would number more than the maximum number of voting members for the committee.
(sec.42-ssec.1) At an extraordinary general meeting called under this subdivision, the body corporate may appoint, without conducting an election, a person who is eligible to be a member of the committee to fill a vacancy on the committee.
