### sec.128 Appointment
A voter for the general meeting may appoint a proxy to act for the person at the general meeting.
However, the body corporate may by special resolution prohibit the use of proxies—
for particular things described in the special resolution; or
altogether.
An appointment under subsection (1) has effect subject to the operation of a special resolution under subsection (2) .
A person must not hold—
if there are 20 or more lots included in the community titles scheme—proxies greater in number than 5% of the lots; or
if there are fewer than 20 lots included in the scheme—more than 1 proxy.
The appointment of a proxy is effective only if the voter or the holder of the proxy gives, in a way mentioned in section 221 (2) , a properly completed proxy form to the secretary before—
the start of the meeting at which the proxy is to be exercised; or
if the body corporate has fixed an earlier time by which proxies must be given, that can not, however, be earlier than 24 hours before the time fixed for the meeting—the earlier time.
