### sec.58 Effect of recognised details certificate
If a recognised details certificate is issued for a person under this division, the person is a person of the sex stated in the certificate for the purposes of, but subject to, a law of the State.
If more than 1 recognised details certificate has been issued for a person, the person is a person of the sex stated in the most recently issued certificate.
Subsection (4) applies to a person who has an entitlement—
under a will; or
under a trust; or
otherwise by operation of law.
The person does not, except as otherwise provided under the will, the trust or by the law conferring the entitlement, lose the entitlement only because a recognised details certificate has been issued for the person.
(sec.58-ssec.1) If a recognised details certificate is issued for a person under this division, the person is a person of the sex stated in the certificate for the purposes of, but subject to, a law of the State.
(sec.58-ssec.2) If more than 1 recognised details certificate has been issued for a person, the person is a person of the sex stated in the most recently issued certificate.
(sec.58-ssec.3) Subsection (4) applies to a person who has an entitlement— under a will; or under a trust; or otherwise by operation of law.
(sec.58-ssec.4) The person does not, except as otherwise provided under the will, the trust or by the law conferring the entitlement, lose the entitlement only because a recognised details certificate has been issued for the person.

- (b) under a trust; or
- (c) otherwise by operation of law.
