### sec.142 Reassignment of sex noted under former s 22
This section applies if, before the commencement, a person’s sex was noted in the person’s entry in the register of births or adopted children register under former section 22.
The person is a person of the sex as reassigned.
Subsection (4) applies to a person who has an entitlement—
under a will; or
under a trust; or
otherwise by operation of law.
The person does not, except as otherwise provided under the will, the trust or by the law conferring the entitlement, lose the entitlement only because the reassignment of the person’s sex has been noted.
(sec.142-ssec.1) This section applies if, before the commencement, a person’s sex was noted in the person’s entry in the register of births or adopted children register under former section 22.
(sec.142-ssec.2) The person is a person of the sex as reassigned.
(sec.142-ssec.3) Subsection (4) applies to a person who has an entitlement— under a will; or under a trust; or otherwise by operation of law.
(sec.142-ssec.4) The person does not, except as otherwise provided under the will, the trust or by the law conferring the entitlement, lose the entitlement only because the reassignment of the person’s sex has been noted.
