### sec.13 Court order relating to birth register
A court, on application by an interested person or on its own initiative, may order the registrar to—
register the birth of a child born in Queensland; or
include or correct particulars about a child’s birth, other than the child’s name, in the register of births.
However, a person may not apply for an order under subsection (1) if the person has, under section 124 , applied to QCAT for a review of a decision of the registrar in relation to the same matter.
In this section—
court means—
for particulars about a child’s parentage—the Supreme Court; or
otherwise—the District Court.
(sec.13-ssec.1) A court, on application by an interested person or on its own initiative, may order the registrar to— register the birth of a child born in Queensland; or include or correct particulars about a child’s birth, other than the child’s name, in the register of births.
(sec.13-ssec.2) However, a person may not apply for an order under subsection (1) if the person has, under section 124 , applied to QCAT for a review of a decision of the registrar in relation to the same matter.
